When I used to live at my parents', I always heard the same statement : Won't you decide to weight normal ?. Normal for them means fat. Because in some countries, you have to be somehow fat to be socially accepted. But I always replied back: Have you ever seen a fat person, being smart at the same time ? (With all due respect and without generalizing, even some skinny people are dump)
The problem with my weight is that, by the time I was 14, I had to follow a very strict diet, no sugar, no fat, no mayo... I must admit that it was a nightmare to deprive myself from sweet and fast food, since they taste so much better... .Four years later, I discovered that this problem was a bless.
As a matter of fact, when you have fat in your blood, you are subject to heart issues. No body mentioned that your brain is receiving fat too !!! which means that when your brain has fat, it doesn't perform like a brain without fat, blood doesn't run as fast !!! See the difference ?
You are unable to think as fast and efficient as low-weighted people. Recent research* proved that the fatter your body is, the smaller your brain gets. If you want to be innovative, smart and good decision maker, beware of what you eat, and how you eat it.
